As noted Vladimir Korsia when he was drawing a line under Saturday, the crew didn’t have any special stages during the day to show their real pace.

«On the first two stages we tried to avoid any haste and to increase our pace after yesterday crash little by little. On the next SS, after all things only just had stood on their places, a puncture happened. Moreover it happened during braking and as a result a rod of front suspension was broken after hit a stone. After that everything went wrong…» — said co-driver of Eurolamp WRT.

Totally on six Saturday special stages Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia had four punctures and twice checked the suspension by stones.

But that was not the finish of the race. There still were one race day and 40 race kilometers. So the team and Ukrainian crew hoped that last part of Rally Italia Sardegna would allow not only to reach the finish but to do it in a positive way.
