Without taking into account the last two special stages of Saturday the  third day of Rally Portugal was quite smooth for the crew of Eurolamp WRT.

Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia passed one special stage by other one very carefully. They didn` t have such hight pace, but avoided mistakes and steadily held nearly top-10 of the general classification of the race. Moreover on the longest stage – 38-kilometers Amarante – Ukrainian crew was 9th. But the last two stages of Saturday ruined general picture of the day adding an unpleasant smear on it.

«On penultimate special stage of the day we caught some stone by the carter protection on braking into a turn. Due to the hit the oil line of rear reduction drive was broken. But we were adding oil by breather valve. In this way we saved full wheel drive. But oil shortage had bad impact on behavior of the car. And because of it we lost a lot of time on the last stage of the day. But fortunately we didn’t lose our position and kept 10th row in WRC category of race results list», — said Vladimir Korsia summarizing the day.

After the finish on the last Saturday stage the crew safely reached team’s service zone and  handed the car over to the mechanics. Fortunately, the technical staff didn’t reveal any critical problems, so to-do list of repairs consisted of only one point – to replace the rear reduction drive. So on Sunday Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia will continue to fight on Rally Portugal.
