At first look Rally Mexico itinerary is quite ordinary as for WRC race. But it is only at first look.

The participants of Rally Mexico will overcome near 400 kilometers of 21 special stages and near 700 kilometers of road sections. The special stages include the super special stage in Guanajuato (it will take place on Thursday) and six ones in Leon (two per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday). It is odinary program of WRC event. But there are a few features that make Mexican race as an especial race – extra hard and exhausting.

Doubtless the main snap of Rally Mexico is the longest special stage of the last fifteen years – 80-km SS Guanajuato. What is the most remarkable that this stage the crews will pass on Sunday when theirs energy reserve will be near empty after two days of fighting.

Highland conditions make the race more difficult too. Some parts of race rout tracked at the altitude of over 2,700 meters above sea level. So both cars and crews suffer from the thin air – the engines loose near 20% of its power, racers are at risk of losing consciousness due to lack of oxygen.

And there is one more stressful thing for the cars and the crews. The organizer announces traditional high temperature during the race – they promise more 30 degree heat. But forecaster’s prediction is more spare – they divine that Saturday will be the most hot (+27) day of the race. And there will be no rain definitely…
