Rally Catalunya. Ukraine takes the challenge
    20.10.2014

The 12th event of the World Rally Championship WRC 2014 is going to begin next Thursday – Rally de Espana has the administrative centre and the service park near Salou and has four days in racing schedule with 17 SS and 373 km of racing distance.

Ukrainian rally team Eurolamp WRT, with Valery Gorban and Vladimir Corsya crew, takes part in this rally – we have only two races left in team’s programme for WRC 2 for 2014.

Valeriy Gorban has already started on the Catalonia roads but it was with his PWRC season in 2012. Last year the team has changed the cars for MINI JCW and moved to the WRC 2 category. So Gorban is looking forward of his come back there.

The team tasks are very clear: maximum attack and finish with the highest possible result. The special “personality” of the rally is in its special stages: some are held on asphalt and others on gravel. “In fact there is no comparison between Spain and other asphalt rallies, for example, the Rally of Germany WRC or Yalta Rally in Ukraine – because of the tarmac itself. Here in Spain, we can say it is perfect – really high quality, close to circuit racing”,- said Valery Gorban about the upcoming race.
