Rally of Spain, the last but one event of World Rally Championship, was successfully completed for Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia: Ukrainian crew took the 6th position in WRC 2.

The race was not easy for Ukrainian team, with enough of ups and downs, Eurolamp WRT kept cool head in the very difficult situations and finally completed this rally.

Valeriy Gorban made some sensations on Friday: Ukrainian driver was fast, strong and tough competitor, therefore he easily got the third. Gravel part of Rally Spain was easy and pleasant for our crew, but unfortunately it wasn’t long enough. The car hit a stone, the arm of suspension was broken, and penalty made a huge gap between Ukrainian crew and the Top-3.

Rally of Spain had two next two sections of asphalt – Saturday was quite good for Gorban, he got his 6th position, defending it under the attack by competitors. The most significant achievement was made at SS13 – Gorban got the third time in WRC 2. Crews took the longest SS, 50-km long, twice on Saturday: “It’s not easy to drive those kind of stages, – said Valeriy Gorban. – But fortunately we had no problems with it, and even more – the second approach helped us to improve our time “.

The final section of Sunday brought some more hard time for Eurolamp WRT: “Sunday had a dramatic moment, when we had turn on the road, lost time. We thought – ok, it’s our biggest trouble now, because Karl Kruuda is too close and we are going to miss our position. But nothing terrible had happened – even with a turn we managed to maintain our priority, we had only three seconds more, but it was enough to keep our 6th place”,- said Ukrainian pilot.

For the moment Eurolamp WRT has only one WRC event left in its schedule. It will be Rally Wales in November.
