Before the start of Rally Sweden condition of its roads was an object to worry. There was a chance that even the special stages which had not been canceled would be rather suitable for a rally-raid than for a classic rally.

Even during the race the organizers continued to cut the race routs – on Friday morning they canceled the first Sunday special stage. But on Saturday it became clear that the condition of race distance was not the biggest problem.

This statement is true for Eurolamp World Rally Team and the crew of Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia at least. As they said the track was good – a little snow, a little ice – and most likely the roads could survive second pass on day’s special stages if they had not been thrown out of the itinerary. Unfortunately, Ukrainian crew faced other problems.

«The day went criss-cross from the start. We had two punctures on the first today’s stage. After that we lost a bit of time when the car was spun. In the end after jump on the penultimate stage the transmission was broken and as a result we spent the rest of the day on front drive only…» – said Vladimir Korsia.

Before last day of Rally Sweden Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia occupy 23th position in the race classification. Meanwhile there is only one special stage to the finish of Rally Sweden – 16-kilometers Power Stages.
