In compare to the route of last year race the route of Rally Portugal has only 1,77% of new sections. The new parts are 1,85-kilometer super special stage in Porto city (SS8 and SS9) and last 1,41 kilometers of Vieira do Minho special stage (SS16 and SS18).

So, the fact that the race track will be well-known for the most of the participants doen` t mean that the race will be easy. Slippery sandy surface, a lot of rocks and deep ruts, tricky choice of tyre type – all these factors do not depend on how the route of the race was renewed but all of them will affect the kind of fight and the final result.

The distance of the fight on Rally Portugal includes 368 kilometers of 19 special stages. The race will start on Thursday, May 19, by the super special stage Lousada. Friday and Saturday will assume the main parts of ordeal – 132 km (8 special stages) and 165 km (6 special stages) respectively. Sunday’s program will contain 67 kilometers of 4 special stages. All in all, including road sections, the crews will overcome nearly 1700 kilometers.
