Eurolamp World Rally Team opened new season, 2017 season. Just after Christmas the team started to implement its training program. It was three days training on snowy roads of Snow Rally Rings in Rovaniemi.

The training took place from 9 to 11 January. And this time there were not only traditional tasks like preparations to forthcoming Rally Sweden. The team had a very important goal – to work on coherence of the new crew. In 2017 Sergey Larens will be the co-driver of Valery Gorban.

On the one hand, Ukrainian squad is well known for Estonian – during 2011 – 2013 years Sergey Larens took part in few rallies with the team as co-driver of several drivers. But on the other hand, he raced with Valery Gorban just once – in 2011 during Portuguese stage of World Rally Championship.

During the training in Rovaniemi Valery Gorban and Sergey Larens overcame nearly 200 kilometers. And the crew was very pleased with how the process of crew adaptation had started. Before the race in Sweden the crew is  going to have a few more trainings.

After Rally Sweden Eurolamp WRT planned to take part in another six stages of 2017 World Rally Championship – it will be Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, Finland, Poland and Great Britain. Moreover, in case if the team can` t be on start of one of this six races, team’s calendar contains a reserve race – Rally Italy.

There is another one important thing to mention. During 2017 WRC season Eurolamp World Rally Team will fight in new category of the Championship – WRC Trophy. This category is for the crews, which want to use the old pre-2016 specification WRC cars. The participants of WRC Trophy may choose any seven races of WRC calendar to fight for the points, and the best six results of those seven races will be included to the final season classification.
