This is the right name for the race, which will take place in the Latvian town of Talsi. Having strengthened its leadership in the Estonian Rally Championship, the Eurolamp WRT left for Latvia. Crew’s challenge remains the same: to score the highest and to maintain leadership in the Latvian Rally Championship. One-day race will be held as the third round of the Latvian Championship.

There are just few main contenders. For the first time in this season, Janis Vorobjovs, a record holder for this race’s starts and two-time winner, is going to replace his BMW with Lancer Evo X. After a triumphal victory on the Ukrainian land, the Latvian has a chance to succeed in Talsi as well.

Moreover, Janis Vorobjovs knows well all the local tracks, but fatal bad luck does not allow him to get his first win this season. Perhaps, Benediktas Vanagas, a guest from Lithuania, will be the most dangerous opponent of Valeriy Gorban in the forthcoming battle.

One-day format of the race will contribute to possible surprises in prize drawing. In total, the crews would have to overcome 290 kilometers of distance, including 94 of competitive ones.

Opening and solemn start of this round will be held on Friday, May 18, whereas its single race will start on Saturday morning.
