Rally Poland. Good pace for Ukraine
    26.06.2014

The 1st day of Lotos Rally Poland was quite good for Valeriy Gorban, Ukrainian rally team Eurolamp WRT driver: according to live timing he got the 6th line in WRC 2 ranking and spent his day without any troubles with the car.

Rally program includes four days of tough challenge and usually Thursday is the shortest one. This time starting section consisted of three special stages, one of them – Super-Special held for the spectators’ pleasure at the stadium in city Mikolajki.

Despite the fact that the first day was really short everybody had to fight in the real battle mode from the very beginning of the race. The road had some unexpected surprises for the drivers: after SS1 finish some admitted that stages were even faster and more complicated than it was expected. Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsya are the only Ukrainian crew in WRC2, and their total amount of scores need to be improved. Valery Gorban has spent some days of testing before this race and he chosen the roads similar to soft and fast roads in Poland. So according to stable results of Ukrainian drivers we could say that previous tests were done well. Gorban completed Thursday with the 6th result in WRC2 and all competitors in this category finished very close to each other. That means that the main struggle is going to be very hot!

Lotos Rally Poland claims to be the fastest WRC race. So it looks like it has all chances to win this title – but it will take four day to find out if this rally is really as fast as it promised and if some drivers are really ready to catch the possibility for great results. Friday is waiting.
