After nearly two months break when World Rally Championship was running on tarmac Germany and Corsica, Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia are going to return to the race tracks of the championship. The Eurolamp WRT crew will be at the start of Rally de España.

For the Ukrainians Spanish race, which will take place from October 13 to 16, is one of the two last races of current World Championship. The Rally GB will be the final in 2016 WRC Season. So the team is going to face very stressful period – to overcome two races with only two weeks pause between them. And what is very important that the results of this races will do impact on all Eurolamp WRT staff’s mood that they begin preparations to next season with.

As a part of the preparation program Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia had two days training session which took place in middle of September nearly Kuarsaare city, in Estonian island Saarema. In Estonia the crew overcame more than one hundred kilometers, while the mechanics and engineers had opportunity to train their professional skills. Moreover the team had one more short training in Italy on tarmac roads.

«We really did our best to spend the break between WRC races with maximum effect. As a result we have confidence in our power and in power of our team before Spanish race. There is only one thing that our fans can be disquieted by – Rally de España have mixed race roads surface. One part of the roads has gravel surface, other – tarmac one. On the other side we haven’t been racing on tarmac during two years and couldn’t have enough training on such type of roads. So we will be forced to relearn tarmac during the race. And our work during the recce and shakedown will be very important», — said Vladimir Korsia.

The reconnaissance of Rally de España roads will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11 and 12. The shakedown will start on Thursday at 8AM (the organizers prepared mixed surface track for the shakedown).
