For Eurolamp WRT present Wales Rally will be the third team’s visit to Great Britain.

Last year British round began with good hopes for Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia. During debut of the rally they stole up to top-3 of WRC2 category step by step – by noon of second rally day the crew held 4th position in the intermediate rally classification. But for 500 meters before the finish of SS10 the car of Ukrainians slided off the muddy because of bad weather road and stuck in a ditch.

It was impossible to get out from the muddy trap quickly. So the crew returned to the rally only the next day with huge time penalty for the missed special stages. There was no chance to recoup that gap.

What is the best Wales Rally memories is the rally of 2014 season. Then Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia had not easy but resultative rally. They faced many challenges on their way to the finish – there were both disappointing spins and bended tie-rod and tire punctures. But despite all problems Ukrainian duo occupied 7th row in the list of rally result and thereby draw a line under the best WRC season for Eurolamp WRT at present. In 2014 Ukrainian team obtained bronze prize in WRC2 category of World Rally Championship.
