Unpredictable weather is the visiting card of Wales Rally. There is no doubt that the participants will face all kinds of autumn British weather at special stages of the rally – snow and rain, ice and fog.

In their turn the organizers of British round of World Rally Championship prepared a few additional peculiarities.

The program of the first rally day includes more than half of the rally distance. On Friday the crews will overcome nearly 180 kilometers (178,22 km). All four stages of the day will be driven in the opposite direction to normal. Hafren and Sweet Lamb have not been used in this format since 1995 while Myherin has never been tackled this way.

Saturday of 2016 Wales Rally contains two new things more. First, one of three special stages of the day – Pantperthog — has not featured in the rally since 1997. Second, Wales Rally return to England for the first time since 1999 – the crews will fight on the parkland of Cholmondeley Castle.

And, perhaps, the main organizers’ “gift” is no mid-leg service on any of the three days.

Totally Wales Rally 2016 contains 330,21 kilometers of 22 special stages and 965,73 kilometers of road sections.
