Rally Poland 2017. Hard lines are behind
    03.07.2017

The main intrigue of Rally Poland, which held all of us on the stretch during last three days, died on SS21 when Ott Tanak made a mistake and destroyed his car at a forest sector. That occasion meant the question of the rally winner was closed. But for the rest of the participants the rally finish was far away yet.

There were to overcome more than 30 kilometers of special stages – nervous, guileful and slippery because of rain kept up all night – and nearly 100 kilometers of road sections. So fans had a lot of reasons do not hurry to let hair down, as Teemu Suninen’s case for instance. The finn, who by the way was driving a WRC car the first time in his career, lost 5th position because of a little mistake on the Power Stage – the last stage of the rally.

Fortunately the Eurolamp WRT crew didn’t give Ukrainian fans any causes to worry about. All four Sunday stages Valerii Gorban and Sergey Larens overcame without any mistakes and with pace which was enough to keep the first place in WRC Trophy category.

“The failures chased us during previous two rallies. So for the whole our team it was very important goal to be on the finish of Rally Poland. Unfortunately the weather made achievement of this goal more difficult. But we did our best to overcame full rally distance both quickly and carefully. Moreover our mechanics and engineers done their job with an excellent mark – the car didn’t let us down. As a result we were able to leave our hard lines behind and got rid of psychological pressing. So we can start preparation for next rally with good mood!” – Valerii Gorban summarized Rally Poland.

The Eurolamp World Rally Team is planning to train before the next WRC event. Place, date and a programme of training will be determined some of these days.
