On Saturday Valery Gorban and Sergey Larens were slower than their WRC Trophy rivals on four from seven special stages. But thanks to Friday’s gap the crew of Eurolamp WRT was keeping category leader position during whole day.

Nearly the whole day Ukrainian team duo was wallowing with brakes problems on their MINI. During SS7, which opened the day, brake fluid leak happened. Moreover the crew got two penalties, in total – near two minutes. After that, on second section of the day a disc brake pad was broken. Those and others brakes troubles led to critical decrease of 4-minutes gap from the closest rival which we have had after Friday. After SS11 we had only 33-seconds gap, at the finish of the day – 42 seconds.

So the second day of Rally Spain was very difficult for Eurolamp World Rally Team. And one more rally day is ahead. And it will be other 74 kilometers of tarmac special stages. But thanks to detail analize of Saturday’s occasions the team made all needed conclusions, and it allow to hope on effective finish.
