Eurolamp WRT crew begun Spanish stage of World Rally Championship on 29th row in the list results of the first special stage. During next five special stages Valerii Gorban and Sergey Larens raised up to 23th position.

“Today’s special stages were mainly gravel. So it was good or us because we are very confident on this surface. Nevertheless, in the light of the long break after our last rally start, we needed some time to adaptate to good pace. During first section we tried to find the best pace as quick as possible, so on second passes of special stages we won over ourselves more than one second per kilometer”, – summarized the day Sergey Larens, Eurolamp WRT co-driver.

“Our today’s goal was to make enough gap from our WRC Trophy rivals. We mean that on Saturday we will face tarmac stages. Unfortunately, it isn’t our favorite surface. On the other hand, we had a few training days on tarmac roads, so we hope that tomorrow will be not easy day but effective one for us.”

At the end of Friday Valery Gorban and Sergey Larens are nearly four minutes ahead of Jean-Michel Roux’s crew, and more than eight minutes ahead of Jourdan Serderidis’ crew. On Saturday the participants of Rally Spain will have to pass 122 kilometers of seven tarmac special stages.
