    Heading to Viru!
    12.06.2018

Estonian Rally Championship’s journey around the country continues. Its fourth round takes place in a small town of Rakvere. Three years hence, the race with the long name of Grossi Toidukaubad Viru Ralli returns to the championship. Eurolamp World Rally Team will start as the Estonian Championship’s leader, but it won’t be an easy way. It’s a home race for Georg Gross’s crew and, keeping in mind the latest technical modernization made to his car, he will not give up easily. As a reminder: Rally Committee of the Estonian Motor Sport Union introduced changes affecting participants on WRC-category cars, effective since June. Such a controversial decision adopted in the middle of the season shows that many people do not feel comfortable with the Ukrainian team’s leadership.
In total, 65 crews are registered for the race. Crews of Egon Kaur, Rainer Aus and Roland Murakas can be also noted as candidates to win the race. Right these pilots on their Proto vehicles are able to compete for the top-level victory.
The race includes nine special stages covering 106 kilometers. Grand opening will take place on Friday. First two special stages will be held the same day. And the winner will be defined on Saturday, June 16.
