June 15 to 16, the fourth round of the Estonian Rally Championship took place in the

town of Rakvere. 62 teams participated in the race with the long name of Grossi Taidukaubad Viru Ralli. The crew of Valery Gorban and Sergei Larens came to the north of Estonia as the championship’s leaders. It was already known even before the start who would compete with Eurolamp WRT for the victory.
Georg Gross possesses similar powerful vehicle and knows every corner of this area. Moreover, he is a mastermind of the race.
It was not surprising that right those two teams got into a fight from the very first stage. According to the first-day results, Eurolamp WRT was just six seconds behind the Georg Gross’s team.
The second day of Viru Ralli began with a bitter struggle. Its starting stage showed that Valery Gorban is determined to fight. Georg Gross was just seven tenths of a second ahead, which made the Ukrainian team second in the race.
Thereafter, Eurolamp WRT was the second-place finisher of all special stages. By the seventh special stage, Gross had left the Ukrainian-Estonian crew behind already for thirty seconds.
It was possible to win back the time only provided that the opponent would face problems. But no incidents happened during the last three stages of the race and Valery Gorban with Sergei Larens won Silver of Viru ralli.
After four rounds, Eurolamp WRT confidently holds leadership in the Estonian Rally Championship.
Rally of Estonia, a flagship event of the Baltic region, will be held in July.
